Press Release: Telr and CreditPool Launch MENA’s First Multi-Card Payment Solution to Solve Transaction Declines | Featured Image by FF News

Telr has partnered with CreditPool to launch Telr Multi-Card Payments, a regional first that allows customers to split a single transaction across multiple payment cards. For fintech professionals, this addresses the primary cause of payment declines—insufficient funds—while providing merchants in the MENA region a tool to capture higher-value sales and reduce cart abandonment.

What was announced

Telr, a regulated payments provider operating across key Middle Eastern markets, has introduced Telr Multi-Card Payments in collaboration with CreditPool. This service, which is now available exclusively on Telr’s payment pages, represents a first-of-its-kind offering for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The feature is designed to allow customers to divide the cost of a single purchase across several different cards. By doing so, shoppers can navigate around individual card limits that might otherwise prevent a high-value transaction from being completed.

This functionality directly addresses the issue of payment declines caused by insufficient funds on a single card, effectively turning potential failures into successful sales. For merchants, the introduction of multi-card capabilities is intended to drive higher average order values and lower the rate of abandoned shopping carts. Additionally, the service provides consumers with the flexibility to aggregate rewards or loyalty points from multiple cards for a single transaction. The launch is supported by Telr’s regulatory standing, as the company holds a Retail Payment Services License from the UAE Central Bank. This new feature joins Telr’s existing suite of e-commerce tools, which includes social commerce, invoicing, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options, and business financing solutions.

"Telr continues to pioneer payment innovation, and we are extremely proud to have partnered with CreditPool to introduce such a sophisticated payment solution, marking another first in the MENA region. We are excited to launch this groundbreaking service. Telr is a fintech-forward acquirer, redefining payments through innovation and security, and a trusted growth partner for every merchant. We won’t accept anything less."

The companies involved

Telr is a prominent payments provider in the Middle East, offering a range of acquiring and payment capabilities. The company operates as a regulated entity, holding a Retail Payment Services License from the Central Bank of the UAE. This regulatory backing allows Telr to provide a secure infrastructure for merchants across various Middle Eastern markets. Beyond standard payment processing, the firm has positioned itself as a comprehensive e-commerce enabler, offering a stack that includes invoicing, social commerce, and financing. Its role in the market is that of a fintech-forward acquirer, focusing on digital transformation within the regional economy.

CreditPool, the partner in this initiative, is led by Co-Founder and CEO Rafik Ibrahim. The company focuses on providing payment flexibility and removing the constraints associated with single-card transaction limits. By partnering with established regional players like Telr, CreditPool aims to integrate its specialized payment logic into the broader merchant ecosystem, facilitating a more seamless customer journey for high-ticket purchases that might otherwise be restricted by traditional banking limits.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has followed Telr’s active expansion of its partnership network throughout 2025 and 2026. In September 2026, the company collaborated with MoneyHash to streamline regional payments via orchestration, enhancing its technical stack. Earlier that year, in May, the firm announced a strategic fintech collaboration with Geidea to improve merchant payment capabilities. Telr has also been instrumental in localizing payment options, as seen in April 2026 when it launched Jaywan for its UAE merchants, providing new growth avenues for local businesses. This followed a 2025 partnership where the Telr payment gateway joined forces with Kema to push next-generation payment solutions.

What this means

This move signals a shift in how MENA-based payment providers are addressing the friction inherent in high-value e-commerce. By allowing multi-card splitting at the gateway level, Telr is effectively challenging the rigid transaction limits imposed by traditional issuing banks. This puts pressure on competing regional gateways to offer similar flexibility or risk losing high-ticket merchants to platforms that can guarantee higher conversion rates. It also raises questions about how fraud detection systems will adapt to single orders funded by multiple sources. As the region moves toward a more sophisticated digital economy, the ability to bypass liquidity bottlenecks at the point of sale becomes a significant competitive advantage.
