Sokin Scores Principal Partnership with Chelsea FC to Power Global Business Payments
By Lauren Towner · 26 October 2026

Chelsea Football Club has secured a multi-year partnership with Sokin, appointing the fintech as its Official Business Payments and FX Partner. For fintech professionals, this deal illustrates the growing integration of embedded finance into the operational fabric of global sports franchises, moving beyond simple branding into critical treasury and cross-border currency management.
What was announced
Sokin has been named a Principal Partner of Chelsea FC and Chelsea FC Women. The agreement includes a high-visibility branding component, with the Sokin logo appearing on the sleeves of the men’s, women’s, and academy home, away, and third kits starting from the 2026/27 season. The Sokin logo featured on the sleeve for the first time when the men’s team hosted Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 24th October.
Beyond the kit sponsorship, Sokin will serve as the club's Official Business Payments and FX Partner. The London-headquartered fintech platform, which facilitates over $11 billion in annual transactions, will provide Chelsea with a suite of embedded finance tools. This includes multi-currency accounts, foreign exchange services, checkout capabilities, and treasury management. The integration is designed to simplify how the club sends, receives, and manages money in the various currencies required for its international operations.
By consolidating these functions into a single platform, the club aims to reduce the time spent managing multiple banking providers. Sokin’s platform currently serves businesses in more than 170 countries, providing the regulated infrastructure necessary for an organisation of Chelsea’s scale, which operates across dozens of currencies through its global partners, competitions, and supporter base.
"At Chelsea, we seek to partner with organisations that share our ambition and innovative mindset. Sokin’s expertise in business payments, and their focus on making both simpler for the businesses they serve, makes them a natural fit for the Club. We are pleased to welcome Sokin to the Chelsea family and look forward to working together in the years ahead."

The companies involved
Sokin is a London-based embedded finance and payments firm that provides international organisations with the infrastructure to manage global financial operations. The company has established a significant footprint in the fintech sector, recently disclosing financial performance that highlights its scale, including reaching $90 million in net revenue. Sokin’s platform is designed for businesses with complex, cross-border needs, offering regulated payments and FX services in more than 170 countries. The firm focuses on consolidating business payments, multi-currency accounts, and treasury into a single interface.
Chelsea Football Club is one of the most prominent teams in global sport, operating a massive commercial enterprise that extends far beyond the pitch. Based at Stamford Bridge in London, the club manages a complex network of international supporters, sponsors, and competitive engagements. As a major player in the Premier League and women's football, Chelsea requires sophisticated financial infrastructure to handle the high volume of multi-currency transactions inherent in modern top-flight football. The club has increasingly looked toward the fintech and digital asset sectors to modernise its commercial and operational partnerships.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely followed the commercial evolution of both organisations. In September 2026, we reported that Circle Named Chelsea FC Official Shirt Partner in Major Stablecoin Deal, while the club also saw TMGM and Chelsea FC Extend Global Partnership to Middle East for Fourth Year. Sokin has also been active in the headlines; we recently covered how Sokin Unveils MCP Connector to Power AI-Driven Financial Operations and Payments. This followed a significant financial milestone where Sokin reaches $90 million Net Revenue as founder discloses financials for the first time, marking a period of rapid growth and technological expansion for the payments firm.
What this means
This partnership signals a shift in how sports franchises view fintech partners—moving from passive sponsorship to active operational integration. By handing its FX and treasury management to Sokin, Chelsea is acknowledging that traditional banking often fails to meet the speed and multi-currency demands of a global sports brand. For the fintech sector, this deal puts pressure on legacy providers who have long held the accounts of major sporting institutions. It raises questions about whether other Premier League clubs will follow suit, replacing fragmented banking relationships with unified embedded finance platforms to capture better margins on international transfers and commercial revenue.
