PPRO Taps Damisa for Stablecoin-Powered Treasury and Global Cross-Border Settlement
By Lauren Towner · 15 October 2026

PPRO has integrated Damisa’s regulated stablecoin-native settlement platform to streamline its global cross-border money movements. By bypassing traditional correspondent banking chains, the partnership enables same-day settlement and reduces the capital requirements for prefunding in diverse markets, providing a more efficient alternative for institutional payment flows in high-growth regions like Latin America.
What was announced
The partnership allows PPRO to leverage Damisa’s onramp and off-ramp network to facilitate the movement of funds. Under this model, funds are converted into regulated stablecoins and moved across borders within the same day. This replaces the traditional multi-bank correspondent chain with a single regulated rail, offering PPRO greater visibility over every payment and reducing the need for extensive prefunding in local markets. The deployment initially focused on Latin America, a region characterized by rapid growth in local payments but significant friction in moving capital out efficiently. Following the success of this regional rollout, the service is being extended to support PPRO’s global footprint. Damisa provides a full suite of services including collection, cross-border movement, and local-currency settlement.
The platform’s scale is significant; in the first half of 2026, Damisa settled more than $70 million across more than 90 countries and 70 currencies. To ensure institutional-grade security, the platform integrates sanctions, AML, and transaction screening on every payment. It operates under multiple regulatory frameworks, including an Australian Financial Services License with AUSTRAC digital currency exchange and remittance registration, a Money Services Business registration with FINTRAC in Canada, and a VASP registration in Poland. Additionally, Malta CASP and Payment Institution authorisations are currently in progress, reflecting the platform's focus on maintaining a regulated multi-jurisdiction presence.
"PPRO is one of the most respected names in local payments, having built their business on getting the local details right. We are proud to be the rail that makes their cross-border money movements faster and more efficient. Latin America was the proving ground: collect locally, move on stablecoin rails, settle in PPRO’s currency of choice the same day."

The companies involved
Damisa is a regulated settlement platform designed specifically for stablecoin-native cross-border business payments. The company has established a robust regulatory posture, holding licenses and registrations across several major jurisdictions including Australia, Canada, and Poland. This regulatory foundation allows it to serve as a credible settlement layer for institutional flows, moving beyond the crypto-native niche to address broader corporate payment needs. PPRO is a prominent local payments platform that provides the infrastructure behind global payment service providers and merchants. The company specializes in integrating diverse local payment methods into a single platform, allowing businesses to scale into new markets without managing hundreds of individual local integrations. By partnering with Damisa, PPRO addresses the "last mile" of the payment lifecycle—the efficient movement of funds back to the merchant’s or provider’s currency of choice. This collaboration positions both companies at the intersection of traditional fintech and the emerging regulated digital asset space, targeting the inefficiencies inherent in legacy global banking networks.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely followed PPRO’s strategic moves to expand its global reach and service offerings. In August 2026, we reported on how PPRO and BLIK Partner to Launch Agentic Commerce for Local Payments in Poland, highlighting the company's focus on local market depth. Earlier that year, PPRO strengthened its position in Northern Europe when Qliro Becomes Exclusive Nordic BNPL Partner for PPRO to Drive Global Merchant Growth. The company’s influence on the broader talent market was also evident when Paymend Names Ex-PPRO Exec Javier Vallaure de la Paz as Chief Operating Officer. These developments underscore PPRO's role as a central node in the global payments ecosystem.
What this means
This partnership signals a maturing of the stablecoin market from speculative asset to institutional utility. As correspondent banking networks continue to retreat from emerging corridors due to cost and compliance pressures, the industry is seeing a shift toward regulated blockchain rails. The implementation of frameworks like MiCA in the European Union and the GENIUS Act in the United States has provided the legal certainty required for major players like PPRO to adopt these technologies. For the wider sector, this move puts pressure on traditional settlement banks to justify their fees and multi-day timelines. The success of stablecoin-native rails in "hard" markets like Latin America suggests that the legacy correspondent model may soon face a broader existential challenge in global trade.
