LoanPro has launched a suite of integrated payment and AI tools designed to bridge the gap between loan management and real-time fund movement. By embedding payment processing and virtual card issuance directly into its core platform, the company aims to eliminate the operational friction that typically occurs when lenders move money across fragmented third-party systems.

What was announced

At its annual Salt Flats Summit, LoanPro unveiled a major expansion of its lending infrastructure, headlined by the new LoanPro Payments suite. This includes DirectPay, a proprietary processing service that reconciles transactions automatically by holding both loan and processing data in a single environment. The service runs on infrastructure handling over $2 trillion in transactions annually and allows new customers to begin accepting payments within approximately 20 minutes of approval.

The company also introduced Beyond Credit™, a virtual Mastercard designed for installment lenders. It enables real-time loan disbursement to a borrower’s digital wallet, functioning 24/7 even when ACH systems are offline. Lenders can restrict card usage by merchant category, name, or location while receiving granular spend data. The card carries no interest or fees, as the primary terms remain attached to the underlying loan within the LoanPro system.

On the servicing front, the AI Account Briefing provides agents with plain-language account summaries and suggested actions. Testing indicates this tool can reduce the time agents spend searching for information from 20% of a call down to as little as 5%. This is powered by the LoanPro MCP (Model Context Protocol), which applies existing human-level compliance guardrails and role-based access controls to AI agents. Additional features include RiskRadar for delinquency prediction, LoanPro Connect for linking to 1,200 APIs, and full support for secured cards via deposit balance tracking.

"Lenders have asked us for years to handle more of this for them, with one contract and one team to call. Payment processing, real-time card disbursement and AI guardrails are now built into LoanPro's core, and all of it is live today. A lender can now get funds to a borrower on a Friday night or have an AI agent help service an account, and all of it stays inside LoanPro."

The companies involved

LoanPro operates as a modern lending and credit platform, positioning itself as a unified alternative to the fragmented legacy systems often used by financial institutions. The company currently manages approximately $4 billion in monthly loan repayments and disbursements across its customer base. By integrating specialized partners, LoanPro extends its reach into specific niches of the payment ecosystem.

Moov, a payment processor, has joined the platform as the first provider available for direct purchase through a single contract and pricing schedule. CheckAlt, another key partner, provides integrated lockbox processing services. The involvement of Mastercard is central to the Beyond Credit initiative, where the global payments giant provides the network infrastructure and fraud mitigation for the virtual card program. These partnerships allow LoanPro to maintain its role as a program manager while leveraging the scale of established financial giants. This collaborative approach reflects a broader trend in the market where platform providers seek to become "one-stop shops" for lenders by consolidating disparate services like servicing, collections, and real-time fund movement under a single technological umbrella.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has recently tracked several developments in the intersection of AI and card-based financial services. We recently reported on how Alchemy and Mastercard Launch AgentCard to Power Secure AI Agentic Commerce, a move that parallels LoanPro’s focus on AI-driven transaction controls. The trend toward specialized card products was also seen when 3S Money Launches Virtual Debit Cards to Streamline UK Business Spending.

Additionally, the industry's push for smarter servicing was highlighted in our coverage of how Citi and Mastercard Debut Global-First Smart Subscription Management in UAE. We also noted the demand for integrated payment models in FMPay Combines API-Led Payments with Human Risk Experts for Mid-Market Fintechs, which aligns with the strategy of combining processing with risk management.

What this means

This move signals a shift in the lending tech stack from "integration-first" to "native-first." By building its own processing and AI orchestration layers, LoanPro is putting pressure on pure-play payment processors and standalone AI servicing startups that rely on external API connections. The industry is moving toward a model where the ledger and the movement of money are inseparable. The real test for the sector will be whether these all-in-one platforms can maintain the same level of feature depth as specialized vendors. Furthermore, the use of virtual cards for installment disbursement highlights a growing impatience with the limitations of the ACH network in a 24/7 digital economy.
