Press Release: MassPay Launches MassPay Validate to Eliminate Payout Failures via Real-Time Account Verification | Featured Image by FF News

MassPay has launched MassPay Validate, a standalone account verification tool designed to eliminate payout failures by confirming account status and ownership before funds move. For fintech professionals, this represents a shift toward modular risk management, allowing firms to verify global payment instructions via API without routing their entire transaction volume through MassPay’s orchestration platform.

What was announced

MassPay Validate is a standalone account verification product that allows companies to confirm the legitimacy and status of personal and business accounts through a single API call. Unlike traditional verification tools that are often bundled within broader payment processing suites, MassPay Validate is available as an independent service. This means organizations can integrate the verification step into their existing workflows without needing to move their actual payout volume through MassPay.

The product addresses a critical friction point in global finance: the high rate of failed payouts. Data suggests approximately one in eight payout failures is caused by identifiable account errors, such as manual entry mistakes, outdated records, or fraudulent tampering with payment instructions. MassPay Validate provides real-time results, including a match status, confirmation of the account owner, a confidence score for name matching, and provider-level risk scoring in supported corridors. If a result cannot be generated instantly, the system utilizes webhooks to deliver the data, removing the need for manual polling.

The service is designed for two primary use cases. First, it can be integrated into supplier and vendor onboarding to verify bank details at the point of record creation. Second, it can be triggered immediately before a payment is originated or whenever payment instructions are modified. Pricing is based on a pay-for-success model where companies are only charged for successful validations, with no minimum volume requirements. Developers can access a self-serve sandbox at masspay.io to test the API before entering a commercial agreement.

"Every failed payout has a person on the other end of it who did nothing wrong. They were told they were paid. They check, and the money isn't there. We built validation to close that gap for our own payouts, and it works so well that keeping it to ourselves stopped making sense. Anyone originating a payment should be able to verify the account first."

The companies involved

MassPay is a global financial orchestration platform that enables businesses to send payments to contractors, partners, and employees across the globe. The company has recently experienced significant momentum, reporting a 408% increase in payout volume and 98% revenue growth year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026. This growth has been supported by strategic expansions into cross-border accounts payable and stablecoin-powered payout solutions.

The launch of MassPay Validate also aligns with regulatory and industry standards set by Nacha, the organization that governs the ACH Network in the United States. Nacha, formerly known as the National Automated Clearing House Association, manages the development, administration, and governance of the ACH Network, which serves as the backbone for electronic movements of money and data in the U.S. MassPay Validate specifically helps companies comply with Nacha’s WEB Debit rule, which mandates that originators of ACH debit entries to consumer accounts must use a "commercially reasonable" fraud detection system to verify account information.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has closely tracked MassPay’s rapid scaling throughout 2026. In June, we covered how MassPay and Coinbase Partner to Bring Stablecoin-Powered Payouts to Businesses Worldwide, a move that preceded the company's record-breaking financial results. Shortly after, we reported that MassPay Reports 408% Surge in Q2 Payout Volume Driven by Stablecoin Adoption, highlighting the firm's increasing dominance in the global payout space. Further expanding its reach, the company also formed a significant alliance to Enable Global Cross-Border AP Payments in 180+ Countries. Additionally, our coverage of the broader ecosystem includes Nacha Targets Gen Z with New ACH Campaign Highlighting Direct Deposit and Payment Benefits, underscoring the ongoing importance of ACH infrastructure.

What this means

MassPay is making a calculated move to capture "top-of-funnel" payment data even from companies that aren't ready to switch their entire payout infrastructure. By unbundling verification, they are positioning themselves against established KYC and identity providers, rather than just other orchestration platforms. This puts pressure on legacy verification services that often struggle with real-time global bank account matching. For fintech leaders, the pay-for-success pricing and sandbox-first approach lower the barrier to entry for fraud prevention. Watch for whether this modular strategy leads to higher conversion rates for MassPay’s core orchestration product as customers get comfortable with their API reliability.
