AnyCard, Lifestyle, and Savvy have merged to form Norell, a global gift card and reward processing group backed by Codex Capital. This consolidation creates a heavyweight in the stored value market, integrating multi-brand gift card processing with international retail distribution to capture a share of a sector projected to reach $2.2 trillion by 2034.

What was announced

The formation of Norell brings together three distinct but complementary fintech businesses to provide a unified platform for gift card processing, payments, and corporate reward programmes. While the businesses will operate under the Norell parent group, AnyCard, Lifestyle, and Savvy will each maintain their existing brand identities, specialist market focuses, and internal talent pools.

The scale of the new group is significant, with operations already established across the UK, Europe, and North America. Collectively, the entities serve more than 2,000 corporate clients and maintain partnerships with over 1,300 brands. To date, the constituent businesses have processed more than $8 billion in card value. The group’s reach extends to 45 countries and supports transactions in 33 different currencies.

Lifestyle, recognized as an early UK pioneer in the multi-brand gift card space, provides redemption options at more than 750 brand partners for both retail and corporate customers. AnyCard and Savvy add technical depth through advanced processing capabilities and international retail distribution networks. The strategic agreement is supported by new investment from Codex Capital, alongside contributions from existing investors from the founding businesses. This capital is earmarked for enhancing technology and service capabilities to better serve the global rewards and incentives market, which is valued at $1.5 trillion as of 2026.

"Customers want simpler access to a wide range of products and services, at home and abroad, in a market that remains fragmented, across branded payments and rewards and recognition. This agreement puts the scale, investment and reach of the group behind each of our brands, to serve customers and partners even better. This structure helps brands, retailers and businesses connect with consumers and employees through multi brand cards and stored value solutions. With Codex Capital's backing, alongside existing investors, founders and talented colleagues, Norell will help each business accelerate progress and bring more products, rewards and technology to our customers and partners."

The companies involved

Norell enters the market as a consolidated entity designed to bridge the gap between fragmented branded payment systems and global corporate rewards. The group is led by Group CEO Alex Barseghian and receives strategic backing from Codex Capital, where Jamie Lawson-Brown serves as Partner.

Savvy, one of the core pillars of the new group, operates online at gosavvy.com and has established itself as a specialist in the stored value and gift card processing space. Lifestyle, which is associated with the City Lifestyle brand, focuses on the multi-brand aspect of the industry, allowing for a high degree of flexibility in how rewards are redeemed across its 750-plus partner network. AnyCard completes the trio, bringing further expertise in international distribution and product innovation.

Codex Capital, the primary backer of this consolidation, focuses on investments in proven business models with exposure to large, growing international markets. The firm’s involvement suggests a move to professionalize and scale the gift card sector, which is increasingly being used by businesses for employee loyalty and customer retention rather than just traditional consumer gifting.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has previously tracked the evolution of the companies and investors now forming Norell. In the broader fintech infrastructure space, we covered how Unit Releases First-Of-Its-Kind Solution That Enables Companies to Launch Banking in Minutes, a development relevant to the rapid deployment of financial services that firms like Savvy utilize. Additionally, our coverage of the investment landscape includes reports on funding rounds involving the group’s backers, such as when HyperLink Secures $2.5M Funding to Build Prime Brokerage Layer for Hyperliquid, highlighting the active role of Capital Code in the fintech ecosystem.

What this means

The formation of Norell is a clear signal that the gift card and rewards sector is moving away from its niche status toward becoming a core component of global payments infrastructure. By consolidating three specialists, the group is addressing the fragmentation that has long plagued international reward programmes. This move puts pressure on smaller, regional gift card processors who lack the multi-currency and cross-border reach now offered by Norell. The industry must now grapple with whether stored value is becoming a distinct asset class, as businesses increasingly bypass traditional banking rails to distribute value directly to employees and customers through these branded ecosystems.
