Press Release: Ant International Unveils AI-Native FinAI Stack to Revolutionize Global Merchant Payments | Featured Image by FF News

Ant International has launched a comprehensive suite of AI-native solutions designed to overhaul global payment, treasury, and FX operations. For fintech professionals, this move signals a shift from simple automation to "agentic" commerce, where proprietary foundation models manage complex cross-border financial tasks and risk mitigation with minimal human intervention.

What was announced

The new product suite is built on a two-layered security architecture and powered by two proprietary foundation models. The first, the Antom 3-in-1 Transformer, is a payment foundation model built on over 10 billion parameters. It is capable of processing 90 terabytes of data annually, simultaneously analyzing sequential behavior, structured tabular records, and complex relationship graphs to optimize payment success rates and prevent fraud. For early subscription service clients, this model has already reduced chargeback rates by as much as 87%.

The second model, FalconTST, is a time-series transformer designed for FX and liquidity forecasting. Built on data from sectors including finance, retail, and energy, it has achieved over 93% accuracy in cashflow forecasting. In real-world applications, the model has reduced corporate FX hedging and allocation costs by 30% to 60%.

Supporting these models are two infrastructure pillars: the Agentic Mobile Protocol (AMP) and WhaleRTP, a blockchain-based wholesale settlement platform. WhaleRTP enables interoperability across blockchain assets from 23 financial institutions; in 2025, it processed 45% of Ant International’s cross-border volume, significantly boosting interest income while reducing working capital requirements. Additionally, the Antom Autopilot solution now allows merchants to manage the entire payment lifecycle through a single conversational window, which has reduced the lead time for first transactions from days to minutes.

"The future fintech leader delivers two things: a future-ready trust infrastructure and foundational FinAI models that combine complex types of deep data and rich domain expertise, and a full stack of connected AI-native solutions across payment, account, FX, treasury and growth operations that prepare them for today and the fully agentised future,"

Peng Yang, CEO of Ant International.

The companies involved

Ant International is a major force in the global fintech landscape, providing digital payment, treasury management, and credit technology solutions. The company operates through four primary business pillars: Alipay+, Antom, WorldFirst, and Bettr. Through its mobile payment network, Ant International connects 150 million global merchants to over 2 billion consumer accounts, utilizing 53 digital wallets and 10 national QR schemes. The scale of its operations is vast, with daily average transactions exceeding 25 million across 210 markets.

Antom serves as the merchant payment service arm, where 89.5% of merchants have already deployed AI agents to assist with 81.4% of payment tasks. WorldFirst and Bettr further extend the group's reach into specialized cross-border trade and financing. Ant International has established a significant presence in the market, with its technology foundations now moving toward a "fully agentised" model of commerce. This transition is supported by a Know Your Agent (KYA) framework and AgentSafePay, a security product offering a fund-back guarantee against risks specific to AI agent transactions.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has closely tracked Ant International’s aggressive push into AI-driven infrastructure. We recently covered how MPay and Ant International Launch AI-Driven Agentic Payments in Macao, which served as an early implementation of the protocol. This followed the news that Ant International Open-Sources Agentic Mobile Protocol to Power Global AI Agent Payments, a move intended to standardize how digital wallets and super apps interact with AI agents. Furthermore, the company has sought industry-wide validation for its security models, as seen when Ant International, Mastercard, and Visa Unite to Launch KYA Framework for AI Commerce. We also reported on the expansion of its underlying network when TerraPay and Alipay+ Launch Cross-Border QR Payments for 3.7 Billion Wallets.

What this means

This announcement moves the needle from "AI-assisted" fintech to "AI-native" infrastructure, placing significant pressure on traditional treasury management and FX providers. By integrating blockchain-based wholesale settlement with proprietary LLMs, Ant International is effectively bypassing legacy financial rails that suffer from latency and high operational costs. The industry must now grapple with the implications of "agentic" transactions, where AI agents act as autonomous economic actors. This raises urgent questions regarding liability and the standardization of KYA (Know Your Agent) protocols. As 45% of the company's cross-border volume already moves via blockchain, the era of traditional wholesale settlement appears to be facing a structural decline.
