Adyen and TFE Hotels Partner to Launch Global Unified Commerce and UNICEF Donations
By Lauren Towner · 22 October 2026

Adyen has entered a global partnership with Australian international hospitality group TFE Hotels to unify payment operations across its international portfolio. By replacing fragmented legacy systems with a single platform, the hotel group aims to streamline guest experiences and accelerate property onboarding while integrating charitable giving directly into the checkout process.
What was announced
TFE Hotels is migrating its global payment ecosystem to Adyen’s Unified Commerce platform. This move consolidates various operational silos—including hotel accommodation, food and beverage services, gift cards, and the group’s guest experience app—under a single contract and technical framework. The transition addresses previous inefficiencies caused by multiple vendor relationships and disconnected systems that required significant manual intervention. The new setup allows TFE Hotels to bring new properties online in as little as four weeks, a significant improvement over legacy timelines. Currently, the platform is maintaining a consistent authorization rate of 94% across the group's transactions.
A key component of the rollout is the activation of Adyen Giving. Starting 15 October, 35 Adina properties across Australia, Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland have enabled guests to make donations to UNICEF at front-desk terminals during checkout. This initiative is scheduled for further expansion across other TFE properties in the coming months. Adina Hotels, the flagship brand representing the group's Australian heritage, serves as the primary vehicle for this international expansion, providing apartment hotel experiences across New Zealand and Europe in addition to its home market.
"Working with Adyen has allowed us to simplify our global payments ecosystem, creating a more seamless and reliable experience for both our teams and our guests,"

The company has a significant presence in the Asia-Pacific region, where Hayley Fisher serves as the Chair of the Adyen Australia Pty Ltd Board. TFE Hotels is an international hospitality leader headquartered in Australia. The group manages a diverse portfolio of brands, with Adina Hotels serving as its flagship international offering. TFE has grown from its Australian roots to become a major player in the global apartment hotel sector, operating across New Zealand and several European territories. The partnership highlights a shift away from legacy hospitality tech stacks toward modern fintech integrations. What FF News has reported before
FF News has extensively tracked Adyen’s expansion into diverse sectors, including its recent move to extend its partnership with FC Bayern München to modernize global fan payments. The platform’s focus on scaling transparent solutions was also evident in its work with Adyen and Flatpay Partner to Scale Transparent SMB Payment Solutions Across Europe. In the Asia-Pacific region, Adyen has been active in addressing market-specific challenges, as noted in the Adyen Report: 40% of Hong Kong retailers target global expansion. Additionally, the company has bolstered its e-commerce capabilities through a partnership with Limitless Technology to scale gifting services across the region.
What this means
This partnership underscores a critical shift in the hospitality sector, where the "unified commerce" model is moving from a retail-centric concept to a requirement for global hotel groups. By consolidating food and beverage, lodging, and digital apps into one stream, TFE Hotels is putting pressure on traditional hospitality tech providers who often rely on fragmented, property-level legacy systems. The 94% authorization rate and four-week onboarding time set a high benchmark for operational efficiency in a sector known for slow digital transformation. Furthermore, the seamless integration of CSR through Adyen Giving suggests that social impact is becoming a standard feature of the payment stack rather than a bolt-on extra.
