Movere Launches AI-Native Payments Platform to Revolutionize Global Merchant Scaling
By Lauren Towner · 14 October 2026

Movere has launched an AI-native merchant money infrastructure designed to consolidate payments, global hiring, and regulatory advice into a single ecosystem. For fintech professionals, this represents a significant shift toward "payment universe" models that use AI agents to bypass traditional, lengthy integration cycles, allowing businesses to scale across 100 countries in minutes rather than weeks.
What was announced
Movere has entered the market as a self-funded platform offering access to over 500 payment methods across 100+ countries. The platform is structured around five core pillars: Pay, Connect, Grow, Unite, and Empower. The Pay module allows merchants to accept online and in-person payments with custom routing rules based on variables such as lowest cost or best chance of approval. Connect utilizes AI agents via the Model Context Protocol to handle multi-entity onboarding, reportedly reducing integration times from weeks of development to as little as 15 minutes.
The Grow feature, powered by Kumo HR, enables businesses to hire and pay staff in new markets without establishing local legal entities, providing a single connected platform for global workforce management. Unite is specifically designed for community groups to facilitate the collection of donations and fees. Meanwhile, Empower provides one-to-one consultations with payments and growth experts to navigate complex regional regulations and market entry requirements. By combining these disparate functions—traditionally handled by separate Employer of Record (EOR) services, payment gateways, and consultancies—Movere aims to eliminate the engineering burden usually associated with international expansion. The platform is built to support businesses that operate across borders from their first day of operation, providing a unified connection to global financial infrastructure and an extensive partner network.
"I have spent more than 40 years in payments, transforming some of the biggest companies in the industry and serving their merchants’ global expansion needs, from global transaction banking to entering emerging and challenging markets. I know how much power sits inside that payment infrastructure, and how few businesses are unlocking its full potential. Merchants should not need a team of engineers to sell in a new market. Growth should not stop at a border. Payments should be effortless. So we built Movere, a payment universe: one place where payments, hiring and expert advice come together to fuel global growth. Our AI agents handle the integration in minutes. We funded it ourselves, so every decision puts the customer first."

The companies involved
Movere is a newly launched fintech firm headquartered in London, positioning itself as an AI-native alternative to traditional payment service providers. The company is notable for being entirely funded by its founders, a move intended to maintain a customer-centric focus without the immediate pressures of external venture capital. The leadership team brings a combined 70 years of experience from major players in the payments and banking sectors.
CEO Praful Morar leads the venture alongside Walé Abidakun, who serves as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), and Lukas Pukaj, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The founders’ professional backgrounds include tenures at high-profile institutions such as Worldpay, Safecharge, Nuvei, BGC Group, PayPal, and NatWest. This collective expertise spans global transaction banking, cross-border money movement, and emerging market expansion. Morar himself has spent four decades in the industry, focusing on transforming large-scale payment companies and navigating emerging markets. By leveraging this deep industry knowledge, Movere seeks to bridge the gap between complex financial infrastructure and the practical needs of merchants looking to scale internationally without the overhead of massive engineering teams or local entity setups.
What this means
The launch of Movere signals a growing trend toward "super-platforms" that treat payments as just one component of a broader business expansion stack. By integrating HR and regulatory advisory services directly into the payment flow, Movere is challenging traditional silos where payments and payroll are handled by separate vendors. The use of AI agents for onboarding also puts pressure on legacy providers whose integration processes remain manual and time-consuming. The industry must now consider whether merchants will continue to prefer best-of-breed individual services or if the convenience of an all-in-one "payment universe" will become the new standard for cross-border commerce.
