Press Release: Reach Partners with Atlar to Power AI-Native Treasury and Cash Management Across 200+ Markets | Featured Image by FF News

Reach, a global merchant of record, has integrated Atlar’s AI-native treasury platform to automate its complex cash management and FX operations across more than 200 markets. For fintech professionals, this partnership highlights the growing reliance on AI to manage the high-velocity liquidity demands of cross-border commerce and multi-currency settlement.

What was announced

Reach has selected Atlar to centralize its treasury operations, which currently span multiple banks and payment providers in over 20 currencies. As a merchant of record, Reach acts as the local seller for international brands, handling tax registration, fraud liability, and local currency acceptance. This model supports more than 130 checkout currencies and saw Reach’s gross merchandise volume grow by 95 percent year-over-year in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The integration will provide Reach with a live, consolidated view of its cash positions across its entire banking stack. Payments will be processed from NetSuite through Atlar’s SuiteApp, with reconciliation handled automatically by AI agents rather than manual entry. The platform will also manage forecasting and FX exposure across the company’s entire currency book, ensuring that liquidity is optimized as money flows from shoppers to merchants. Looking ahead, the implementation will utilize AI agents to analyze overnight banking activity, providing the treasury team with automated briefings on daily payment statuses before they access individual bank portals. This move follows a period of significant scaling for Reach, which secured investment from Primus Capital in 2025 to support its expansion across global markets.

"We move a lot of money in a lot of currencies, and we wanted a platform that could keep pace as we grow. What sold us was getting our banks and payment providers into one place, live, with the AI working off that data rather than bolted on after the fact. Atlar's connectivity was the strongest we saw across a thorough selection process."

The companies involved

Reach operates as a merchant of record, a specialized position in the e-commerce ecosystem where it assumes legal and financial responsibility for transactions on behalf of third-party brands. By providing the local entity and tax infrastructure required for global sales, Reach enables companies to enter more than 200 markets without establishing their own local presence. This role involves managing significant risk, including liability for chargebacks and regulatory compliance in diverse jurisdictions. The firm’s growth trajectory was recently bolstered by backing from Primus Capital, a private equity firm that focuses on growth-stage investments in the technology and financial services sectors.

Atlar is a treasury management platform designed with an AI-native architecture. It focuses on providing real-time visibility and automation for finance teams dealing with high transaction volumes and fragmented banking relationships. The platform competes in a market increasingly defined by the need for deep integration with ERP systems like NetSuite. NetSuite, a provider of cloud-based business management software including ERP, financial, and e-commerce solutions, serves as the central accounting hub for many scaling fintechs. Its SuiteApp ecosystem allows third-party platforms like Atlar to embed financial workflows directly into the core ledger.

What FF News has reported before

FF News has previously tracked the investment activity of Reach’s backers, including when Matic Secures Primus Capital Investment and Acquires Policygenius P&C Portfolio in June 2026. The shift toward automated, AI-driven treasury functions is a recurring theme in the sector, as seen in our coverage of MoonPay Acquires Entendre to Launch AI-Powered Agentic Finance for Stablecoins. Additionally, the broader landscape of cross-border payment partnerships continues to evolve, highlighted by moves such as when Flywire and Trustly Expand Open Banking Partnership to U.S. and Canadian Markets.

What this means

The partnership between Reach and Atlar signals a shift in how high-growth fintechs view the treasury function—moving from a back-office necessity to a data-driven strategic advantage. As merchants of record face increasing pressure to provide seamless, localized checkout experiences, the underlying complexity of managing 20+ currencies becomes a bottleneck. Traditional treasury management systems often struggle with the "live" requirements of modern commerce. By leaning into AI-native reconciliation and forecasting, Reach is setting a benchmark for operational efficiency. This puts pressure on legacy treasury providers to move beyond simple API connectivity and toward proactive, agent-based automation that can handle the sheer scale of global GMV growth.
