Movantis Adopts Integral FX Technology to Scale Liquidity Across Latin America
By Lauren Towner · 19 October 2026

Movantis has integrated Integral’s full-stack FX technology to bolster its financial infrastructure for cross-border value movement across Latin America. For fintech professionals, this deployment signals a maturing institutional market in the region, where the demand for sophisticated liquidity management and embedded FX capabilities is now a prerequisite for scaling high-volume payment networks.
What was announced
Movantis, which operates a platform moving more than $60 billion in value annually, has selected Integral to provide the underlying technology for its institutional FX offering. The integration targets a broad range of clients, including banks, payment networks, and digital asset operators, facilitating more than 200 million transactions through a network of 90,000 payout locations and over 50 Money Transfer Operators (MTOs).
The partnership involves the implementation of Integral FX, a comprehensive technology stack that includes a pricing engine, liquidity aggregation, risk management, and distribution tools. This setup allows Movantis to harmonize its FX capabilities, which are executed through licensed third parties, and extend them to its diverse client segments, such as payment and cross-border money transmission companies.
New distribution channels created through this integration include an institutional-grade trading platform designed to improve the user experience, alongside direct-to-client API trading. Furthermore, the system provides API connectivity into third-party multi-dealer venues, which can operate through the network of Movantis’ third-party licensed entities. These technical enhancements are specifically geared toward meeting the rising demand for Mexican peso services and supporting regional expansion by providing deeper access to a vast network of liquidity providers.
"FX and liquidity capabilities are a core part of the cross-border infrastructure we are building across Latin America. Integral gives us deeper access to liquidity, stronger execution capabilities, and the flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our institutional clients. As we grow, this foundation will allow us to expand our FX capabilities and deliver more value to our clients across the Movantis platform."

What FF News has reported before

What this means
This announcement underscores a significant shift in the Latin American corridor, moving away from fragmented, high-cost remittance models toward sophisticated, institutional-grade infrastructure. By adopting a full-stack FX engine, Movantis is addressing the historical lack of transparency and liquidity in regional currency pairs, most notably the Mexican peso. This move puts immediate pressure on traditional regional banks that have long relied on legacy systems and wide spreads. As more infrastructure providers offer embedded institutional FX, the competitive moat for traditional correspondent banks is shrinking, forcing a choice between rapid modernization or the loss of high-volume institutional flows to tech-native platforms.
