Midnite Taps BR-DGE to Scale Global Sportsbook Payments and Optimise Checkout Performance
By Lauren Towner · 24 September 2026

BR-DGE, a specialist payment orchestration platform, has partnered with UK-based sportsbook and casino operator Midnite to modernise its transaction infrastructure. This collaboration is a significant signal for fintech leaders in the high-stakes gaming sector, demonstrating how rapidly scaling operators are moving away from restrictive single-provider integrations toward flexible, multi-acquirer orchestration to ensure uptime and global reach.
What was announced
Midnite has integrated BR-DGE’s payment orchestration layer to replace its previous system of direct integrations with individual payment providers in the UK and Ireland. This transition allows the sportsbook to manage its entire payment stack through a single interface, focusing on improving the resilience and performance of both pay-ins and payouts. A key component of the rollout is the immediate availability of TrueLayer’s Pay By Bank functionality, which Midnite accessed through BR-DGE’s existing connectivity. Further alternative payment methods are already in the implementation phase through the platform.
The partnership also introduces BR-DGE Vault, a centralised tokenisation service. This technology ensures that player card details remain portable across different payment processors, preventing the need for re-tokenisation and ensuring a seamless checkout experience even when Midnite adds or switches backend providers. Beyond technical connectivity, Midnite will gain access to BR-DGE’s gaming-specific performance benchmarking. This data-driven intelligence, gathered from regulated markets including North America, Europe, Australia, the UK, and Ireland, allows the operator to model and adjust payment journeys to balance security requirements with high acceptance rates. As the operator continues its growth, it will add further PSP connectivity through BR-DGE and utilise smart routing capabilities to automatically direct transactions based on cost, success rates, and provider uptime for both deposits and withdrawals.
"Midnite built a strong platform on a single PSP, which worked well domestically but limited how quickly they could add new payment methods or move into new markets. Moving to an independent orchestration layer mitigates that technical debt in one step, giving Midnite the scalability they need to match their success and ambitions."
Jacob Spencer, Chief Revenue Officer at BR-DGE.
The companies involved
BR-DGE is a payment orchestration and intelligence platform specifically engineered to meet the high-volume, high-regulation demands of the global gaming and sports betting industry. The firm positions itself as an independent layer that sits between merchants and the broader payment ecosystem, allowing businesses to bypass the technical limitations of legacy payment service providers. BR-DGE has established a significant presence in the fintech media landscape, with extensive coverage reflecting its role in the evolution of payment routing and data intelligence.
Midnite is a product-led, mobile-first sportsbook and casino operator based in the United Kingdom. Known for its focus on user experience and rapid growth, the company has carved out a niche by prioritising a friction-free app environment for its customers. While Midnite initially relied on a more traditional, direct-integration model for its payments, its expansion into new regulated markets and the increasing complexity of player expectations necessitated a more sophisticated approach to financial infrastructure. The company remains a prominent example of the "hyper-growth" category of operators that are increasingly turning to specialised fintech partners to maintain their competitive edge in the crowded betting market.
What FF News has reported before
FF News has closely followed the growth of both entities as they navigate the intersection of gambling and financial technology. We previously covered how Midnite Partners with TrueLayer to Launch Instant Pay by Bank for UK Sports Betting, a move that foreshadowed its current focus on alternative payment methods. BR-DGE has also been a frequent subject of reporting, notably when BR-DGE Secures £10m to Scale Global Payment Orchestration and Intelligence to fuel its international expansion. Furthermore, the platform's leadership has provided critical industry warnings, such as when the BR-DGE CRO Warns Operators: $50bn World Cup Betting Surge Requires 'Always On' Payment Orchestration, highlighting the technical pressures that operators like Midnite face during peak global sporting events.
What this means
This partnership underscores a broader industry shift where payment orchestration is moving from a luxury to a necessity for gaming operators. As regulatory environments in North America and Europe tighten, the ability to switch providers or route transactions based on real-time performance data is becoming a primary competitive advantage. The move puts significant pressure on traditional, all-in-one payment service providers who may struggle to offer the same level of agility as independent orchestration layers. For the wider sector, the question remains whether the consolidation of tokenisation into independent vaults will eventually force major acquirers to rethink their "sticky" lock-in strategies to remain attractive to high-growth merchants.
