Fitting Secures $1.1M Seed Funding to Transform Saudi Construction Procurement with AI
By Ali Paterson · 8 September 2026

Saudi-based procurement platform Fitting has secured $1.1 million in its second Seed funding round to digitise the Kingdom’s construction supply chain. For fintech professionals, this represents a significant move into the B2B payments and procurement space within a traditionally fragmented sector, leveraging AI and multi-lingual engagement to streamline complex industrial workflows.
What was announced
The $1.1 million injection comes from a strategic investor with interests across construction materials, contracting, and real estate development. Fitting is directing the capital toward several key pillars: technology development, operational scaling, and team expansion within the Saudi market. The platform’s core functionality allows users to manage requests for quotations (RFQs), compare supplier offers, and oversee procurement and supply operations. Crucially for the fintech sector, it centralises invoice management and payments into a single digital workflow.
This addresses the current reliance on paper invoices and fragmented communication across phone calls, email, and WhatsApp. New features currently under development include enhanced shipment-tracking capabilities, the integration of artificial intelligence, and the launch of a smart construction materials catalogue. To support its market presence, Fitting has launched the “Ya Katharaha… Wa Halluha Wahid” campaign, using humor to highlight challenges like delivery delays and cost monitoring. The campaign features a series of characters, such as “Abu Basma—the Psychologist,” who addresses the frustrations of contractors and suppliers regarding bills of quantities and communication breakdowns.
The company is also targeting the sector’s linguistic diversity through Fitting You, providing content in Arabic, English, Chinese, and Urdu. Additionally, Fitting Us has been established as a dedicated channel for specialized dialogue regarding supply-chain issues among contractors, manufacturers, and importers. The platform targets a broad range of stakeholders, including real estate developers and contracting companies on the demand side, and manufacturers and importers on the supply side.

The companies involved
Fitting is a Saudi Arabia-based digital platform operating at the intersection of fintech and construction technology (contech). The company, accessible via fitting.sa, focuses on the digitization of supply chains within the Middle Eastern construction sector. By providing a unified digital workflow, it aims to bridge the gap between demand-side entities—such as real estate developers, contracting firms, and materials retailers—and supply-side players, including manufacturers and importers.
The platform competes in a market where traditional communication tools like WhatsApp are frequently used for business transactions. WhatsApp, a global messaging service, is often the default for fragmented requests and information sharing in the Gulf region. Fitting’s value proposition lies in moving these interactions away from informal messaging and paper-based systems into a structured, VAT-compliant, and searchable digital environment. This transition is particularly relevant in the Saudi market, where rapid infrastructure development is driving a need for greater price transparency and more rigorous cost control across the procurement lifecycle. The platform's focus on addressing the fragmentation of information across diverse channels positions it as a specialized alternative to general-purpose communication tools.

What this means
The digitisation of construction procurement in Saudi Arabia is no longer a luxury but a necessity as the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 projects scale. Fitting’s focus on moving transactions away from WhatsApp and paper invoices addresses a massive hidden cost in the industry: administrative friction and lack of price transparency. By integrating AI and multi-lingual support, Fitting is tackling the cultural reality of a diverse workforce. This move puts pressure on traditional materials distributors to modernise their sales stacks or risk losing visibility. The broader question for the sector is whether a single platform can achieve the network effects required to standardise procurement across such a fragmented ecosystem.
