Zero Hash Integrates Tempo Blockchain to Scale Onchain Stablecoin Payments
By Lauren Towner · 8 October 2026

Zero Hash has integrated Tempo, a blockchain specifically engineered for high-volume stablecoin payments, into its infrastructure ecosystem. By securing a validator seat on the network, Zero Hash becomes the first onchain infrastructure provider to participate in Tempo’s governance, a move that signals a deepening institutional commitment to the technical foundations of stablecoin settlement.
What was announced
The integration, unveiled at the TOKEN2049 conference, establishes a direct technical link between Zero Hash’s institutional infrastructure and Tempo’s purpose-built payment rails. This partnership is designed to facilitate stablecoin movement at scale for a client roster that includes major financial entities such as Visa Direct, Worldpay, and Marqeta, as well as fintech platforms like Gusto, Kalshi, and Félix Pago.
Zero Hash currently operates as a single integration layer that abstracts the complexities of blockchain connectivity. Its platform provides cross-chain and cross-asset interoperability for more than 100 assets across 35 different chains. The company’s scale is significant within the digital asset sector; currently, one out of every 12 dollars of tokenized Treasury volume ever recorded has moved through Zero Hash’s infrastructure. By integrating Tempo, Zero Hash aims to provide its partners with a network optimized for "onchain velocity," focusing on speed and predictability in settlement.
A critical component of this announcement is Zero Hash’s appointment to a validator seat on the Tempo network. This role moves the company beyond being a mere user of the network to becoming a participant in its security and operation. According to the announcement, the validator seat is intended to provide a foundation for partners to develop new stablecoin-powered offerings and use cases, leveraging the underlying reliability of a network secured by the businesses actually moving the capital.
"Tempo represents exactly the kind of ecosystem our partners need to move stablecoins at scale. It’s fast, predictable, and built for onchain velocity. Integrating Tempo, and further, having a role as a validator, puts Zero Hash even closer to the core of how this network operates, letting us bring that reliability directly to world-class institutions and platforms we serve."
Mark Daly, Chief Business Officer at Zero Hash.
The companies involved
Zero Hash is a leading onchain infrastructure platform that provides the technical and regulatory framework for financial institutions to offer digital asset products. Operating primarily as a B2B2C provider, the company handles the underlying liquidity, compliance, custody, and settlement infrastructure, allowing its clients to focus on front-end user experiences. Zero Hash has established a significant footprint in the fintech sector, evidenced by its 24 prior appearances in FF News coverage, and maintains its primary digital presence at zerohash.com.
Tempo is a blockchain network purpose-built to handle stablecoin payments at scale. Unlike general-purpose blockchains, Tempo’s architecture and validator set are designed to reflect the requirements of businesses engaged in high-velocity money movement. The network seeks to provide the predictability required by enterprise-level payment platforms and banks. Tempo has been a recurring subject of industry interest, with seven prior stories documented by FF News, and operates via its platform at tempo.com.vc. The company’s strategy involves aligning its network security with the institutions that utilize its rails for commercial transactions.
What FF News has reported before
Zero Hash has been a frequent fixture in our reporting as it expands its institutional capabilities. The company has also been active in the issuance space, as seen when Zero Hash Launches Onchain Issuance Platform to Power Lossdog’s Lucky Dog Coin. Meanwhile, Tempo has been making strides in the enterprise sector; we previously reported that Wirex and Tempo Partner to Accelerate Enterprise Stablecoin Card Issuance, highlighting the network's utility for card-based stablecoin programs.
What this means
This integration marks a shift in the stablecoin market from simple connectivity to deep vertical integration. When infrastructure providers like Zero Hash take validator seats, they are essentially merging the "software" layer of fintech with the "hardware" layer of blockchain security. This move puts pressure on traditional settlement networks that cannot match the 24/7 velocity of a purpose-built stablecoin chain. However, it also raises questions about the long-term decentralization of payment-focused blockchains. As these networks become populated by corporate validators, the industry must decide if it prioritizes the censorship resistance of public chains or the controlled predictability of institutional consortia. For now, the trend toward institutionalized rails seems dominant.
