ViaBTC and Mempool Partner to Speed Up Bitcoin Transaction Confirmations
By Lauren Towner · 16 September 2026

ViaBTC has partnered with Mempool to integrate its Bitcoin transaction acceleration services into a broader infrastructure ecosystem. For fintech professionals, this move highlights the growing necessity of off-chain and side-channel solutions to manage on-chain congestion, ensuring that high-priority transfers bypass the bottlenecks often associated with low-fee environments or periods of high network volatility.
What was announced
ViaBTC, a global multi-cryptocurrency mining pool, is collaborating with Mempool to broaden the reach of its transaction acceleration tools. The partnership leverages ViaBTC’s established mining pool infrastructure to process and confirm eligible Bitcoin transactions that might otherwise remain stuck in the mempool due to network congestion or insufficient transaction fees. This service allows users to expedite their transfers by utilizing ViaBTC’s direct role in block construction and its technical expertise in transaction processing.
The initiative builds on a product line ViaBTC first introduced in 2016. Since then, the provider has offered both free and paid acceleration options to the market, refining the underlying technology through multiple market cycles. As of September 16, 2026, ViaBTC reports having successfully accelerated more than 800,000 Bitcoin transactions. Despite the new partnership, the user experience remains consistent; customers can still submit transaction IDs through the existing ViaBTC website and mobile application to monitor request statuses and view their historical acceleration data.
The collaboration is part of a wider strategy to integrate ViaBTC’s technical expertise with other infrastructure providers, including block explorers and wallet developers. By working with Mempool, ViaBTC aims to make its transaction processing capabilities more accessible across the Bitcoin ecosystem, particularly for users facing delays during periods of peak network activity. The company has indicated it will continue to explore further partnerships with other Bitcoin infrastructure providers to bring its technology to more applications.
"Miners' long-term trust is built on reliable day-to-day operations and sustained investment in technology and service. Whatever the market does, ViaBTC puts the security, stability, and efficiency of its mining pool first. The partnership with Mempool marks another step in expanding the company's ecosystem collaboration, drawing on years of technical and operational experience. Going forward, ViaBTC will stay focused on what miners need, strengthening its infrastructure to support their long-term growth and the continued operation of the Bitcoin network."

The companies involved
ViaBTC is a global multi-cryptocurrency mining pool that has been operational since 2016. The firm specializes in Proof-of-Work (PoW) mining services and has built a significant presence in the market by supporting major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Zcash (ZEC), and Kaspa (KAS). Its pools for BTC, LTC/DOGE merged-mining, BCH, and ZEC are currently ranked among the leading mining operations globally. To date, the company has served more than 2 million users across more than 150 countries and regions.
The company has navigated multiple market cycles and Bitcoin halving events, positioning itself as a veteran infrastructure provider in the digital asset space. Its focus remains on the security and efficiency of mining pool operations, which provides the foundational hash power required for services like transaction acceleration. Mempool, the partner in this arrangement, operates within the Bitcoin infrastructure ecosystem, providing tools that allow users to visualize and interact with the network's pending transaction layer. This partnership marks a step in ViaBTC's efforts to build collaborations across the Bitcoin infrastructure landscape, drawing on a decade of experience in mining pool operations and technology development.
What this means
This partnership signals a maturing of the Bitcoin service layer, where mining pools are no longer just passive recipients of transactions but active managers of network throughput. By formalizing the link between a mining pool and a mempool explorer, the industry is moving toward a more commercialized approach to block space. This puts pressure on traditional wallet providers to integrate similar "speed-up" features or risk losing users to platforms with direct mining ties. However, it also raises questions about the long-term neutrality of transaction processing if "pay-to-play" acceleration becomes the standard remedy for network congestion. As block rewards diminish, these auxiliary services will likely become a primary revenue driver for the mining sector.
